My name is Jacob Reeves, and I’m a photographer & graphic designer based in South Carolina, currently working as the Director of Creative Design & Photography for South Carolina Gamecocks Athletics. Through my full-time work with Gamecock Athletics I do primarily sports-centric photography & graphics, however I’m also experienced in landscape, scenic, event, real estate, & portrait photography outside of sports. Up to this date I have been contracted to do freelance photography work for the College Football Playoff National Championship, F1 Miami Grand Prix, NASCAR, Kiawah Island Golf Resort, Original Design, and more.

Raised right outside Greenville, SC, I attended & am a proud alumnus of the University of South Carolina in Columbia, SC. I knew from a young age I found joy in creating, and I eventually realized I wanted to pursue a career that would allow me to do that every day. After spending my last two years of undergrad as a student graphic design intern for both Gamecock Football & Gamecock Athletics marketing, I graduated in 2017 & was fortunate enough to get my first full-time job postgrad as a graphic designer for Mizzou Athletics. After a cross-country move to the middle of Missouri, I soon discovered my love for photography. Receiving my first camera as a Christmas gift from my family in December 2017, I absolutely felt like I found my calling.

Almost every single day since then I try to get out in the world & photograph something, whether it’s portraits, sports, landscapes, anything. After one full year working at Mizzou, I received a call to come back home to South Carolina in 2018 and I’ve been here ever since. Being able to grow around an incredibly talented creative team here & use my abilities to document the journeys and achievements of student-athletes at the University of South Carolina has been an unreal opportunity, and I look forward to continuing to grow in the future.
